A SIP OF THE TEA: SEASON 3

(50:53)

January 11, 2023

DESCRIPTION:

The past year has been a wild roller-coaster ride for us.  We had no idea that our theme for the season (Letting Go) would become the theme of our lives.  For the record, we don’t  believe in coincidences. We believe the intersection of our lives was divinely intended.  It. Was. A. Rough. Year.

We needed and used the gifts and wisdom of our guests to thrive through many challenges we faced this year. We spent much of it “letting go” with an intention made possible by knowledge. So it is with gratitude and privilege that we reflect on the sharing and magic of an unforgettable season full of memorable guests.

Join us for a taste of this year’s journey and a few sips of the delicious “tea” served up in Season Three.

REAL TALK "CHATTER"

  • Out of the box, and straight to the heart.

I have the pleasure of knowing these two women on a personal level, and can attest to how they truly live their lives by thinking out of the box, and with so much heart and intention. I’m thrilled to pull up a chair myself and lean in to all that they have to share, and that others will have a chance to be influenced by two of my favorite people. 5 stars, of course.

  • Accessing beautiful conversations!

I enjoyed listening to Deb and Nia talk about things they’ve learned about themselves and each other. It made me reflect on my relationship with my daughter and things of love to talk about with her. Thank you both for sharing with your listeners. 💕💕💕

Motherhood is one of the most incredible and gratifying jobs around. It is also one of the most challenging. Raising little humans is tough enough. Add a little internal (or external) guilt and shame, and it’s easy for moms to question their parenting abilities. The struggle of mommy guilt is real, but expert guest Jaime Mathews joins us to offer hope and help for those who are ready to “Let it Go”! (The guilt. Not the kids. 😉) (S3:E1)

Are you battling with your teen day after day? Would you like to have a stronger bond with your teen, but at a loss regarding how to meaningfully connect and effectively communicate? Author, intuitive mom, and Certified Life Coach, Valerie Canino joins us to offer her expertise. (S3:E:2)

Through engaging stories and accessible analogies, Miguel Jr. discusses the levels and healthiness of attachments we have with some things, people, relationships and institutions in our lives. He also makes connections between those attachments and our perception of ourselves and others. This is a must-listen if you’re ready to “let go” of an unhealthy attachment. (S3:E:3)

Marianne Williamson joins us at the “tea” table! The famed author of the bestseller, “A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of ‘A Course in Miracles’”, shares her time, thoughts, and wisdom on a range of intriguing topics. Tune in as we explore intergenerational conditioning and how we can release our limiting beliefs. (S3:E:4)

Have you accumulated “stuff” in your home or office that you don’t need? Are the piles of paper, things, gadgets, and gizmos overwhelming you? Ready to release the angst and reclaim your space? Real Talk’s favorite scientist, Dn. Joe Ferrari, offers insight on why it can be so tough to “let go” of our junk, and shares tips on how we can restore order and harmony by releasing the clutter. (S3:E5)

Ignorance is bliss, right? Wrong. Ignorance is never blissful, especially when it comes to your health. You might not know your bloodwork numbers, but they are important for your health. Bloodwork can sometimes be confusing and difficult to understand. Dr. LaJoyce Brookshire joins us to help us break the bloodwork code and provide easy-to-understand information regarding some of our most important bloodwork numbers. (S3:E6)

We’re back! Join us today for our first episode back after a long and needed 8 month break. Catch up with us as we tell you what’s been happening in our lives, what we’ve been up to in this time, what we struggled with, and what we’ve learned. (S3:E7)

In this two-part conversation, we discuss what it means to be an “Ageless Goddess”, how our mindsets and perceptions regarding aging can affect the body physically, and how past traumas can have an impact our body – both internally and externally. Most importantly, we learn how we can let go, heal and live vibrantly and agelessly! (S3:E8)

Ageless living is a lifestyle. So, in part two of this engaging and information-dense conversation, Dr. Northrup not only shares life-enriching tips and resources for healthy “ageless-inspired” womanhood, she also offers life and relational advice for our young adults. (S3:E9)

This week, we explore survival, pain, loss, fear and anger. We also celebrate the power of forgiveness, vulnerability, awareness, and redemption. While sitting in the hole on Death Row, angry at the world for his circumstances and for what life had done to him, Jahmal had a lightbulb moment. This epiphany would mark the beginning of a transition in him that would change his life. (S3:E10)

Today, Jahmal shares a message for all regarding the freedom that comes from accepting responsibility for our actions, holding ourselves accountable for our lives, living from a place of vulnerability and humility, and actively committing to choosing education over ignorance. (S3:E11)

Counselor and author, Julie Reynolds, LPC, joins us today to talk about a hot topic – anxiety. Many of us, including our young people, struggle with finding ways to cope with life stressors. Tune in as Julie shares strategies, tips, and processes for all ages that are designed to eliminate and/or reduce anxiousness. (S3:E:12)

Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist Susan Blais joins us to discuss grief. What is grief? How do we know we’re grieving? When do we need help? And, how can we let go and heal from the life’s painful experiences and devastating losses? Tune in to learn how we can reclaim our lives, recover peace, and restore joy. (S3:E13)
